The 2009 50 Book Challenge!

Full time job? Check.

Part time artist? Check.

Brand new house? Check.

Wedding to plan? Check.

Ready to meet the challenge of reading a novel at a rate of almost one per week? You damn right.

So I seem to have gotten myself into a challenge without meaning to, but I think it's going to rock. Sarah and I are going to read 50 books each in 2009. I...might die in the process, frankly, but pride forbids me from backing down.

Now I just have to go steal Sarah's layout to let me keep track of the books on the side of my blog. Damn her and her fancy "I know how to use gadgets and junk" ways.

I R pimp. :)

I have to compile a list now. I'll start with books I own. ;)

Rules...yeah, let's talk about that. I'd say a minimum of 100 pages counts as a novel. I also think rereading totally counts, 'cause I do it all the time...HOWEVER...NO HARRY POTTER! Reading the whole series 8 times does not count. ;)

Okay, no Harry Potter, I can deal with that. Minimum of 100 pages sounds good. I might still try to stick to new reads for me, but probably best not to make that a rule. I'll probably not count young adult fiction, too, since otherwise I'll just reread Narnia. :)

Hot damn!

I'm out.
I don't think "Goodnight Gorilla"
counts - although I have read it atleast 50 times.

You should totally do the challenge, only with children's books. That would be awesome. But like...your challenge can be 500 or something ridiculous. :P

Gah, gotta get all my reading in now before I start breeding, apparently.
